Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the collecting range and intension efficiency of the incident waves even with oblique running direction to a levee from decreasing by a method wherein a collecting channel is formed with collecting levees with variable collecting area and branch watercourse regulating jettys are provided.
CONSTITUTION: A tidal energy collecting and intensifying channel is formed with the collecting levees 14 and 14 with variable collecting area and also a tidal energy conversion channel 11 is formed in connection with the levees 14 and 14 and yet a tidal energy conversion device 10 is provided in the channel 11. A levee 15 consisting of unit levees 17, which are provided with primary and secondary watercourse regulating devices to enable to branch the leftward or rightward incident wave, longitudinally and continuously connected at intervals is arranged ahead the levees 14 and 14. Primary, secondary and tertiary wave height regulating devices 21aW21c are provided in the levees 14 and 14. Due to the arrangement metioned above, the incident angle of the oblique waves is turned to be small and as a result the wave pressures applied to the levees 14 and 14 are reduced and as well as the energy loss in the superposed waves due to the reflected waves is prevented, resulting in enabling to prevent the collecting range and the intension efficiency from decreasing.
