Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the strain caused by the forming work, and to perform an accurate roll-forming process, by forming a V-groove along the inner surface of a bending part of a metallic sheet, and by applying a bending work after finishing a drilling work for a hole.
CONSTITUTION: A V-groove 5 is formed at a bending part of a flat blank sheet 4, and a drilling work for a hole 6 is performed on this flat blank sheet 4 as it is. A roll-forming work is then applied to the blank sheet 4 for bending it as the V- groove 5 comes inside. According to the present method, the roll-forming work is practiced without causing any deformation in the hole 6. Hereupon, in case of making the depth of the V-goove 5 a 1/2 of the sheet thickness T, for example, even if the hole 6 is bored as closely to the bending part as A=2T, the deformation of the hole 6 is prevented.
