Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-sensitivity and high-contrast picture by treating an element, containing photosensitive silver halide, nonphotosensitive metallic salt particles, physical developing nucleuses, a developer for silver halide, in a metal particle dissolving solution after picture exposure.
CONSTITUTION: A photographic element containing highly photosensitive silver halide, nonphotosensitive metallic salt particles which have the surfaces made hardly soluble with a hardly solubilizing agent, but is more soluble than the said photosensitive silver halide, physical developing nucleuses, and ≥1 kind of developer for silver halide developer is exposed and then treated in a processing solution containing a substance which dissolves the particles of metallic salt, thereby manufacturing a negative planographic process plate. As the said photosensitive silver halides, silver chloride, silver bromide, silver iodide, etc., are usable, and the grain size of the silver halide particles is preferably 0.1W3.0μm.
