Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform high-precision measurement easily by processing a radioactivity intensity signal digitally either by storing a calibration constant in a memory previously and reading out said signal to use, if necessary or by inputting it with a digital switch. CONSTITUTION:Radiation is first converted by an ionization chamber into a DC signal, which is amplified and supplied to a voltage-frequency converter 21. Its output frequency is multiplied by a calibration constant K2 selected by selectors 25-27 at BCD multipliers 22-24. The selectors 25-27 selects calibration constant data of specific nuclear species read out of a ROM31 or inputted with digital switches 28-30. With regard to unspecified nuclear species, prescribed calibration constants are inputted directly with the digital switches 28-30. Therefore, radiation intensity is measured regarding various nuclear species by setting constants adequately. This constitution achieves high-precision measurement through easy operation.
