Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a latex sensitized with complement 1q, which is enabled to determined easily an immune complex (1C) by a microtitration process, by allowing to carry a complement 1q on the surface of a particle. CONSTITUTION:A serum such as a human serum is dialyzed against ethyleneglycol-bis(aminoethyl)-tetra acetic acid to obtain a purified complement 1q. Next, a synthetic high polymer latex (particle size of 0.01-10mu polystyrene latex is preferable) is diluted with a physicological salt solution and a buffer solution to 0.05-3% concentration of latex particles and the complement 1q is added to this solution, then allowed to contact at 0-4 deg.C for 3-24hrs to obtain the said sensitized latex.
