Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the removing efficiency of solids from waste water by using an endless type filter medium formed by cnnecting alternately arranged thin plates with pins at varying pitches and also by providing a magnetic attracting member to separate solids and a compressed air injector in a rotary chain type filtering device.
CONSTITUTION: Thin plates 1 and 2, manufactured in such a way that ends have a circular form with radii r1, r2, or r and also the pitch between pin holes is in the relationship of r1+r2 or 2r, ar alternately lapped in large numbers to form an endless chain 18. Also, an outlet 22 through which treated liquid deprived of solids by the endless chain 18 is flowed out is provided in part of a box 20, and the bottom of the box 20 is provided with an electromagnet 21 which serves to act a magnetic force on the endless chain 18 in such a way as to interrupt the permeation of magnetic substance from the aperture between the laminated thin plates of the chain. Thus, the filtering effect of magnetic filter can be raised because magnetic thin plates are used partly or wholly.
