CONSTITUTION:A thin-walled belt is wound in a roll shape, and the end parts thereof are butt-welded to form a cooling roll 1. The outside circumferential tapered surfaces 4, 5 of both circumferential edges of this shell 1 are forcibly fitted to rotary plates 2, 3. A rotating part 6 of a U shape in section is supported on the inner side of one plate 3 by a bridging part 7, and plural flow holes 8 are provided to the part 7. A small clearance is provided on the outside circumferential surface of the part 6 between the same and the shell 1.
