Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for penicillines, etc. by a simple method in high yield, by reacting a carboxylic acid with a hexaorganodisiloxane in the presence of a mineral acid.
CONSTITUTION: A carboxylic acid is reacted with a hexaorganodisiloxane of the formula (R is alkyl or aryl) in the presence of a mineral acid to give a triorganosilyl carboxylate. Examples of the raw material carboxylic acid include 1W20C saturated and unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acids, aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and aromatic carboxylic acids. Sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid may be cited as the mineral acid. The reaction is carried out at room temperature W 150°C for 1W80hr.
