Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the shift in read-in and recording start position because of the position shift of initial stop position, by determining a scanning start position, through reading-in the index between the scanning stand initial stop position and paper beginning end position with a head. CONSTITUTION:When a moving start signal (k) inputs to a main scanning control circuit 34, the circuit 34 is operated and the scanning stand starts from the initial stop position A toward the moving direction. When the stand reaches an index M, the index is read in with a read-in head 17 and the stand starts main scanning. When it is started, a motor drive pulse (m) is applied to a motor control circuit 36 and the scanning stand is scanned in a given speed restricted with the drive pulse (m). When the scanning stand is moved and reaches the index D, the moving end signal (l) is generated to operate the reciprocating control circuit 35, and the stand starts moving toward the returning direction. The stand returns and stops at the stop position A.
