Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove water by centrifugal force in a simple way, by leading a wire rod having water bonded to it turning back through a plurality of dewatering rollers. CONSTITUTION:The wire rod 10 passes engaging with a first dewatering roller 12 in a partial circumferential surface, with the second to the fourth dewatering rollers 14-18 in a next partial circumferential surface and with the fifth dewatering roller 20 in a next partial circumferential surface but one. Water is scattered from the various partial circumferential surfaces of the wire rod 10 so that water is removed from the entire circumferential surface. The engagement is carried out in such a manner that scattering directions of removed water are different from each other so that the scattered water is not bonded again to the wire rod 10.
