Similarly, when the tension of a strip B is TB, the strip B is formed into the suspending line R. A tension T when a seam between strips A and B passes through the suspending interval is controlled by adjusting the revolution of rolls 5, 6 for carrying strips at the both ends. With the operating method, a suspending line when the seam between strips A and B passes through the suspending interval is put close to the regular suspending line R by controlling T to meet the equation T=TA+(TB-TA)a/L where L is the horizontal length of the suspending interval and a is the progress distance of the seam between strips A and B.
