Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic alloy with high permeability, by heat-treating the alloy containing each preseribed amount of Si, Al and Fe and/or further a prescribed amount of at least one element of V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, etc. as auxiliary components on a specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy comprising 4W13wt% Si, 4W13wt% Al and 75W 92wt% Fe and/or further 0.01W5wt% in total of at least one element of V, Ng, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, etc. is molten. Next the molten metal is primarily heat-treated at 950W1,300°C. Subsequently it is cooled at a temperature gradient of 0.1W1°C/sec. After cooling to a room temperature, the alloy is secondarily heat-treated at 300W 800°C and then cooled at a rate of 0.1°C/sec or less.
