Abstract

PURPOSE: A heat-accumulating material free from deposition of CaCl2.4H2O in a prolonged heat cycle, which comprises CaCl2 and a specified proportion of water.
CONSTITUTION: A small amt. of water is added to CaCl2.6H2O in such a proportion that 6.05W6.14mol of water is contained per mol of CaCl2.
EFFECT: The heat-accumulating material shows little reduction in the heat of fusion, gives a high temp. on solification and has a high growth rate.
