Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct the drift of the belt for a belt conveyor automatically by a method wherein a belt support frame is inclined by the signal of a detecting device for the drift of the belt to move goods to be conveyed thereon into a proper position.
CONSTITUTION: The belt 1 conveying the goods 3 to be transported, such as earth and sand, is guided by the frame 2 equipped with rollers 5. The detecting device 4 for the drift of the belt and a belt inclining frame 6 annexed thereto are provided at a part of the frame. The inclining frame 6 is supported the both sides of the frame for the rollers 5 with inclining devices 8. When the belt 1 is biased, the detecting device 4 for the bias of the belt is operated and an inclination control device 9 operates the inclining device 8 by the signal of the detecting device 4 to lift up the right side of the belt inclining frame 6. Accordingly, the goods 3 to be conveyed are moved to the center of the belt 1, the goods 3 to be transported are exerted by a force to move them to the center of the frame 2 at the position of the section G-G, the belt 1 as well as the goods 3 to be conveyed are moved to the center of the frame 2 by frictions between the belt 1 and the goods 3 to be conveyed and whereby the drift of the belt 1 may be corrected.
