Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency by allowing a transport device equipped with a correcting device for correcting the curved form of an optical cable to travel and stop along an edge working device in the upper and lower loop transport passages, in the device for transporting the optical cable along the edge working device. CONSTITUTION:The curved form at the edge of an optical cable 11 in a transport pallet 10 is corrected at the position of an operating panel X, and said cable 11 is fixed onto a chuck 14. Then, the transport pallet 10 is transported to each edge working device A-E by operating the operating panel X. At each station A-E, the cable is stopped by a position detecting sensor which is not shown in the figure and installed onto an upper stage transport device 20 and a sensor which is not shown on the figure and set on the transport plate 10 side, and the prescribed working is carried out. Then, the transport pallet 10 circulates in loop form through the upper stage transport device 20, vertical transport device 40, and a lower stage transport device 30. By such a constitution, working efficiency can be improved.
