Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a lithographic plate, which is well prevented from wearing when printing and can be easily operated with good image reproducibility, by forming an image by printing ink on the plate material on which a resin layer is provided, and then, by removing the resin layer from a nonimage section by dissolving it off.
CONSTITUTION: A solvent, which is designed to dissolve not the printing ink but only the resin layer, is used as a developer. After forming the resin layer with such a substance as styrene-methacrylate polymer and printing thereon a required image using a printing ink (such as "Toyo King Ultra 70" Toyo Ink Co., Ltd.), this image is developed by using a solvent (such as 0.5% water solution of sodium metasilicate, etc.) having the aforementioned characteristics).
