Abstract

PURPOSE:To display the temp. of objects continuously and accurately within the observation visual field of thermal imagery by the constitution wherein the temps. of the objects are calculated by converting thermal imagery electric signals to digital signals and the thermal imagery electric signals are partially shielded and are substituted with character code signals. CONSTITUTION:The infrared rays 11 entering from the window 12 of a thermal imagery direct viewer 1 are scanned by a raster scanning mechanism 2, and are converted to thermal imagery electric signals by an infrared ray detector 3. The signals are inputted via a mask circuit 6 to an image reproducer 13, where they are converted to red color light and are observed as thermal imagery of real time through an ocular eyepiece 10. Part of the thermal imagery electric signals outputted from the detector 3 are inputted to an A/D converter 6, and are converted to temp. signals by a temp. calculator 7. These signals are transmitted to a character/mark signal generator 9. The mask circuit 5 shields the thermal imagery electric signal corresponding to one block in the visual field in the eyepiece 10 and displays temp. in this part.
