Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a distance measuring function to a lens device per se by controlling the positions of photodetection parts by the extent of movement of lens groups by the operation of a focusing ring, comparing the outputs thereof and the output of a stationary photodetection part and performing focusing. CONSTITUTION:The linear movement of an inside barrel holding a lens group 14 is made possible by rotating a focusing ring 12 fitting to a stationary barrel 11, and two pieces of objective lens 17, 18 for distance measurement are provided to the barrel 15. Photodetecting parts 19, 20 behind these are provided, of which the part 19 is made stationary and the part 20 is formed movably in a perpendicular direction in accordance with the movement of the barrel 15. The outputs of both parts 19, 20 are supplied to a comparator 27, and an announcing element 28 is operated by the differential signal thereof. Hence, the position of the part 20 is changed by rotating the ring 12 and a coincidence signal is outputted from the comparator 27, whereby the focusing point is announced and the distance measurement function is realized by the lens per se.
