Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A liquid specimen containing angiotensinase, e.g. blood serum, body fluid, etc., is mixed with a solution contaning p-hydroxyhippuryl-L-histidyl-L- leucine of formula, hippuricase, p-hydroxybenzoic acid hydroxylase, and NADPH (nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide phosphate, reduced form), and the consumed NADPH is determined by measuring the decrease of NADPH absorbancy with ultraviolet light or fluorescence.
