Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a production method of a magnetic recording medium with a high efficiency of vapor deposition, by securing the curved travelling of a supporter to always ensure the same incident angle.
CONSTITUTION: Endless belts 11 and 11' travel on a curved route respectively to always ensure a certain value of the incident angle θ between a web W functioning as a supporter and an evaporated metal streamline 3 produced from an evaporator 1. A ferromagnetic metal, i.e., an evaporator is made incident obliquely to the web W with the vacuum vapor deposition while being sucked and transported by the belts 11 and 11'.
