Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize the advantages of a label leading edge detecting procedure and suppress the lag of label feeding at minimum limit at the generation of error signals by installing the 2nd label detector to the advancing direction of a label detector which detects the leading edge of the label and also providing an auxiliary feeding means. CONSTITUTION:A motor feeds a pasteboard 1 to which a label 2 is adhered and a peeling part 5 peels off the label 2. A label detector 22 detects the label 2 peeled off from the peeling part 5 and the 2nd label detector 28 is installed to the advancing direction of the label 2. After detecting the label 2 by the detector 22, a paper feeding controller 31 transfers the pasteboard 1 at a fixed speed. An axiliary means 31 sets up the standard feeding rate from the start of paper feeding to the detection of the leading edge at the normal paper feeding and counts up standard feeding. When the detector 28 outputs a detection signal earlier than the output from the detector 22, the means 31 continues the feeding of the pasteboard 1 at a standard feeding rate through the gate means 35.
