Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a stable measurement extending over a long period, by providing a surrounding body havng a heat reflecting surface and an outer surrounding body evacuated on the outside of said surrounding body to a pipe wound around heat sensitive resistance wires for measuring a flow rate. CONSTITUTION:Heat sensitive resistance wires 2, 3 are wound around a pipe 1 flowing a fluid and Wheatstone bridge is constituted by resistances 4, 5 and then, voltage proportional to a flow rate is generated on its output termianl 6. Further, a space 11 is provided to the outside of the wires 2, 3 and a bottomed cylindrical surrounding 9 composed of a heat conductive body having an irregularly uneven heat reflecting which is facing to inner side, is juined with the pipe 1 by heat and moreover, the body 9 is attached to the pipe 1 providing a vacuum space 12 to the body 9. By this constitution, the balance of temperature between both end parts (a) and (b) of the pipe 1 is kept and also, the flow rate of the fluid is stably measured by the output of the Wheatstone bridge for a long period because of not producing a convection current between the body 9 and 10.
