PURPOSE:To simply decide the stop position of the secondary conductor plate by supplying a single-phase alternating current to coils for generating a traveling magnetic field only located at intervals which are almost equivalent to the length of the direction along the carrier rail of the secondary conductor plate. CONSTITUTION:When a stop positioning command is sent under the condition that a three-phase alternating current is supplied to a coil 9 for generating a traveling magnetic field by closing a relay for generating a traveling magnetic field, the secondary conductor plate 2 is sensed by photosensors 10, 10' and a stop signal is fed into an input terminal not shown in the drawing. And with the relay opened, a relay for stop positioning is also closed and a single-phase alternating current is supplied to coils 6, 6' for generating a traveling magnetic field and stop positining. In this way, the secondary conductor plate 2 stops between the coils 6, 6'. Therefore, the stop position of the secondary conductor plate can surely be decided without adding a special mechanism.
