Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate brazing work without a guide section on commutator segments by mounting coil segments on commutator segments wherein brazing is applied by holding coil segments by serving the next coil segment previously brazed as a guide. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower coil segments 2a and 2b are superimposed by interposing a brazing material 4 between the coil segments 2a and 2b to hold in the groove 5a of a coil segment holding jig 5. The thickness l of the side plate of the coil segment holding jig 5 is left to equal to the interval between adjoining coil segments. And the side plate is mounted on a commutator segment 1a through the brazing material 4 and brazing is applied by feeding current between the coil segment 2 and the commutator segment 1a. After brazing the first coil segment 2 and in brazing on and after the second coil segment, brazing is applied by positioning the holding jig 5 after serving the previously brazed coil segment 2 as a guide. In this way, even thin coil segments can easily be brazed.
