CONSTITUTION:A list 201 is inputted to a reading section 202. An electric signal from the section 202 is stored in the 1st video memory 204. A video signal stored in the memory 204 is edited with an edit control circuit 206 and an edit program 207, and stored in the 2nd video memory 205. The video signal read out from the 2nd video memory 205 is applied to a print head 210 via a serial parallel conversion circuit 208 and a head drive circuit 209. The width toward the subscanning direction of the original is set so that the width of the print head 210 is a fraction of that specified for the original.
