Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to achieve easy manufacture of electromagnetic wave lens elements which can receive and radiate the electromagnetic waves of circular polarized waves, by making longer the length of a slot lines than that of a half a long side of rectangular dielectric substance base. CONSTITUTION:A microstrip line 1 is formed by peeling off the metal at the back surface of a rectangular type dielectric substance base coated with metal for the both surfaces, and a pair of horns 4 are formed by making both short sides of the rectangular dielectric substance base as an antenna aperture and peeling off the metal at the surface in taper along the direction of center in parallel with the long sides of the base, and they are connected with the microstrip line 1 via the dielectric substance. The horns are formed so that one of slot lines 3a, 3b is longer than a half the long side and shorter than a half the long side. One of the horns is subjected to a notch 11 a half the long side in length, and the electromagnetic wave lens element is constituted by combining the notch 11 to make orthogonal two rectangualr dielectric substance bases.
