Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In a conjugate fiber structure consisting of three components A, B and c different in solubility in a solvent or in decomposability to a decomposing agent, two components A and B form an island-in-sea conjugation and the conjugation is used as the core part and the third component C is used as the sheath part to produce a conjugate fiber. The fiber is made into a structure such as fiber itself or woven cloth and the structure is treated with the solvent or decomposing agent to rmove component B only from the filament ends and leave components A and B on the root parts. Then, the component C at the filament ends are mechanically or chemically removed. Thus, a fiber structure having filament ends fibrilated is given.
