Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an engine from causing stop failure in a fuel injection controller provided with a fuel cut-off function at deceleration time, by performing injection control in accordance with a length of time for speed of the engine to decrease from a cut-off start value to a release value of partially releasing its cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection controller is equipped with an arithmetic unit 5 to which output signals of an air intake amount sensor 1, speed sensor 2, throttle sensor 3 and water temperature sensor 4 are input. The arithmetic unit 5 is provided with a main arithmetic part 8 for calculating injection pulse width from the above described output signals, and the main arithmetic part 8 cuts off an injection pulse to an applicable cylinder when performing fuel cut-off operation fully or partially for cylinders in accordance with a decision signal S4 from a fuel shut off decision circuit 10. In this case, when a length of time for speed of an engine to lower from the point of becoming a cut-off start value JC to the point of speed R1 for partially releasing the cylinders is not more than a prescribed time, the decision circuit 10 during cut-off operation of fuel generates a decision signal cutting off the fuel for all cylinders immediately when the speed becomes R1.
