Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a sensor which is strong to electromagnetic induction and causes less malfunctions by generating a magnetic flux in a fixed position of a rotary disc rotating by having a constant relation with the output shaft of a transmission by means of said disc. CONSTITUTION:A lead switch 5 fixing an optical fiber 9 connecting to a light source 10 and an optical fiber 9' connecting to an optical signal processing circuit 11 respectively to a pair of leads 7, 7' consisting of magnetic materials superposed on leading end parts at a constant spacing and sealed in a case 3 is installed in proximity to a rotary dis 2 which is rotated by having a constant relation with a rotator to be detected. Further, a magnet 4 is so installed that its magnetic flux acts upon the lead switch 5 in the fixed position of the disc 2, and the leading ends of the leads 7, 7' are touched by the magnetic effect according to the rotation of the disc 2, whereby the two optical fibers 9, 9' are opposed to each other.
