Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly make a flaw inspection of complicated three-dimensional curved surface, by making possible the displacement of elastic contact body filled up a liquid within it and contacted the outer circumference face transforming along the surface to be instected and ultrasonic probe impregnating in the liquid in the contact body and being capable of rotating round Y axis in three-dimensionally. CONSTITUTION:One end of an attaching arm 12 is stuck to a main body case 11 of a probe unit 10 by a pin 13 and a flange stuck to a supporting stand 5 is provided on the other end. A probe 15 is buried in a guide hole placed in the direction crossing at right angles to the central axis line of freely rotable cylindrical probe holder 14 which is inserted into the case 11 in the direction of Y axis. The holder 14 is rotated by a driving motor 16 and a rotation angle detector 19 detecting an angle of rotation alpha around Y axis of the probe 15, is provided on the tip end of the motor 16 and water 21 is filled in an elastic contact body 20 to a degree of a little swelling. The unit 10 is constituted by the above-mentioned instrument.
