Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain quick follow-up operation of engine output according to rapid increase of an accelerator opening degree, by controlling the pitch of movable blades in a turbine and compressor with a computer in such a manner that a flow rate of intake air is increased correspondingly to increase of the accelerator opening degree.
CONSTITUTION: Intermediate parts of many variable blades 6 are rotatably supported by pins 7 to a diffuser frame 5 of a supercharger compressor C, while intermediate parts of variable blades 16 are similarly supported by pins 17 to a nozzle frame 15 of a turbine T. End parts of the blades 6, 16 are coupled to driving parts 11, 21 of servo motors CM, TM through rings connected to pins 10, 20. Each of the servo motors CM, TM is controlled by output of a computer 25 for electronic control fuel injection. Output signals of various sensors 30W38 are input to the computer 25, and a signal for controlling a pitch of each blade 6, 16 is generated in such a manner that an intake amount of air is increased in accordance with increase of an accelerator opening degree.
