Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform highly precise head positioning by obtaining a noise-free position signal, by charging the discharging the holding capacitor of a sample holding circuit with a current controlled with a differential signal derived from a demodulated position signal. CONSTITUTION:In a sample holding circuit 1', transistors Q3 and Q4 controlling the discharge of holding capacitors C1 and C2 are controlled by signals A and B from a differentiating circuit 7 instead of a speed signal, and a Q5 and Q6 for supplying charging current controlled by signals C and D to the C1 and C2 are equipped. The circuit 7 performs the time differentiation of a position signal outputted from a differential amplifying circuit 2 to generate signals A-D. Consequently, saw-tooth components in rising periods of an odd signal and an even signal demodulated by circuit 1 are never superposed upon each other, and the demodulated position signal contains no noise.
