Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the production of a cold rolled steel thin strip of good press formability possible without causing increassed length of a treating line by so consittuting an over aging chamber in a continuous annealing furnace that a treating steel strip is turned, stacked and passed in one direction in said chamber. CONSTITUTION:After a passing material 30 is cooled down to an over aging temp. in the force cooling zone 8 in a primary cooling chamber 7, it is passed between roller seals 14, and is moved in parallel with an over aging chamber pass line 32 by shift turn rolls 131, 132 via a deflector roll 135. The parallel moved material 30 passes between roller seals 13', and enters an over aging chamber 9'. In the chamber 9', it is passed always in the same direction, is turned by hearth rolls and arrives at the stacking loop of the outermost layer by repeating stacking and passing successively. Thence, the material 30 goes to the outside of the chamber 9' by passing between roller seals 14'', and is again moved in parallel with the original continuous annealing pass line 31 by shift turn rolls 133, 134, and in a secondary cooling chamber 10, it is quickly cooled down to a room temp.; thereafter, it is made into a product of known processes.
