Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal load of a cooler and better thermal conductivity between a cooling mount and a cooling head, by constituting one part of an inner tube of a hermetic container from a bellows of metal and the other from glass. CONSTITUTION:An inner tube is composed of a bellows 11a and a glass 11b. In such a constitution, a cooler 10 is installed to a cooling type photoelectric converter so that when a cooling head 9 is in touch with a cooling mount 4, the bellows 11a expanded. Thus, even if there is a certain is a certain amount of expansion or contraction with a change of temperature, the bellows 11a will expand or contract to cover it. Hence, the cooling mount 4 always keeps contacting with the cooling head 9. Besides, because a part of the inner tube is composed of glass, resistance increases against heat entering the head 9, and the thermal load of the cooler is reduced.
