Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve hydrocracking yield of low-sulfur heavy oil, especially yield of liquid fraction composed mainly of kerosene fraction and light oil fraction, by using a mixture of various heavy oils having different sulfur content as stock oil.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A low-sulfur heavy oil containing ≤0.5wt% of sulfur (e.g. fuel oil, heavy naphtha, vacuum distillation residue, etc. derived from Minas oil, Daching oil, Libia oil, etc.) is mixed with (B) pref. 10W60wt% of a high-sulfur heavy oil containing ≥2wt% of sulfur (e.g. fuel oil, etc. derived from Kuwait oil, Iranian heavy oil, Kafdi oil, etc.), and the mixture is subjected to the hydrocracking. The hydrocracking is carried out at 350W450°C, under a pressure of 100W 200kg/cm2, and at a hydrogen-feeding rate of about 2,000Nm3/kl oil, in the presence of a catalyst obtained by supporting a catalyst component such as nickel oxide- tungsten oxide to a carrier such as alumina.
