Abstract
PURPOSE: A sheet made from an olefin resin containing a peroxide, crosslinking accelerator, filler and others is wrapped with a similar resin sheet containing no peroxide and crosslinking aid, then they are heated to produce a filled sheet of high crosslinking grade by no used of a closed heater.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of an olefin resin, are added 50W100pts. of a filler, 0.5W3pts. of a silane agent and 0.5W2pts. of a lubricant and they are kneaded at a temperature higher than the melting point of the polymer into pellets or a fine powder. Further, a peroxide and a crosslinking agent are added by 1W10pts. respectively and the resultant composition is rapidly extruded at such a temperature as the decomposition and reaction of the peroxide and crosslinking accelerator do not take place, e.g., lower then 170°C into a sheet. The similar polymer to the above one but not containing the peroxide and crosslinking accelerator is made into films and they are piled on both surfaces of the above sheet integrally and the sheet is crosslinked with heat using a usual heater to form a sheet of high crosslinking degree (higher than 80% gel fraction).
