Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a polyethylene resin composition having excellent dispersibility and discoloration resistance, and suitable for blow molding, etc., by compounding a specific polyethylene with a phenolic antioxidant, and using pellets of the mixture as a master batch.
CONSTITUTION: 100 Parts by weight of a polyethylene having a melt index of 0.2W 10 is compounded with pref. 0.5W5 parts of a phenolic antioxidant such as 2,6-di- tert-butyl-p-cresol of formula, at ≤260°C, and pelletized. The pellets are added as a master batch to a polyethylene having a melt index of ≤0.1 to give the title resin composition containing 5W1000ppm of the antioxidant.
