Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a hot rolled steel plate holding good toughness, especially, after processing which has composite texture of ferrite and martensite containing C, Si, Mn and comprises limitting a volume ratio, or an average particle size or the like of martensite of said composite texture respecively.
CONSTITUTION: The hot rolled steel plate contains 0.02W0.2wt% C, 0.2W1.5wt% Si, 1W2.5wt% Mn and has composite texture of ferrite and martensite. Further, said hot rolled steel plate has an essential condition as described hereinafter. That is, a volume ratio (M.V.F) of martensite in the aforementioned composite texture is adjusted to 5W30wt% and an average crystal particle size (G.S) to 15μm or less and M.V.F/G.S is specified to 1.5 or more. In order to prepare said steel plate, steel adjusted to a predetermined composition is subjected to hot rolling at a heat finishing temp. i.e. above Ar3 critical temp. and, thereafter, cooled down to Ar1 point W550°C at a speed of 5W30°C/sec. in a conditioned manner and, next, rapidly cooled to 450°C at a speed of 30°C/sec. or more and wound up.
