Abstract
PURPOSE:To integrate a plurality of shift forks in one shift shaft by selecting moved shift forks SFO through the rotation of the shift shaft SSH. CONSTITUTION:Shift forks 1, 1' and 1'' are fitted to one shift fork SSH2 supported by bosses 6 so that is can move freely in the rotating and axial directions, and the SFOs are movable freely on the SSH in the rotating and axial directions. Detaining pieces 12, 12' and 12'' are provided differing, bit by bit, in angle from those of different SFOs. For example, the detaining piece 12' of the SFO1' is engaged in the engaging recess part 42' of a shifter 4. In this case, turning an inner shaft 44 as shown by an arrow (b) moves the SSH2, shifter 4 and SFO1' in the axial direction to make a prescribed gear shift. When a gear change is required and a selection lever 3 is turned as shown by an arrow C, the detaining piece 12'' of the SFO1'' is engaged in a engaging recess part 41'' and other detaining pieces are not engaged to move the SFO1'' in the axial directon, thus making the gear change.
