Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a small and highly efficient motor, by composing an armature with a plurality of wave-wound element coils which are formed by folding blank coils, made of wires wound tightly in line-formation, in wave shape. CONSTITUTION:2n sectional points are determined on a circumference of a cylindrical, flat circular or truncated core hollow blank coil which is made of wires wound in line-formation. Folding lines intersecting each sectional point are determined and the said basic coil is folded inward and outward along these folding lines and is extended along an imaginary cylindrical surface so that it formes on elementary coil of an armature 2 of a rotor 1. Around the armature 2, a 2n-pole permanent magnet 16 is provided. Each of elementary coils 4A-4C of the armature 2 is loaded through brushes 14 and commutators 12. Thereby, the armarture can be provided without any unnecessary space exclusive thereto. Accordingly, it is possible to make a motor more compact and highly efficient.
