PURPOSE:To reduce influence of main pole leakage flux and improve commutating characteristics, by dividing an armature core axially in plural numbers and inserting an armature winding into slots different in the circumferential positions from each other between the divided cores. CONSTITUTION:An armature core 9 is divided axially into a plurality of divisions 9a and 9b. When an armature winding 12 is inserted into a slot 11, it will be inserted into slots different in the circumferential position from each other between the divisions 9a and 9b. Slot position may be shifted between the core divisions 9a and 9b by 1/2 slot pitches. Thus, sufficient electromotive force can be obtained at an armature coil under commutation and excellent commutation can be acquired.
