CONSTITUTION:A liquid-crystal display device 20 is formed into two-layer structure; the analog display part of the upper layer displays hour information, and the analog display part of the lower layer displays minute information. Hour unit information is displayed on 24 display electrodes, constituting the analog display part of the upper layer, in every 30min, so thick hour hand display is possible. Therefore, even when the hour hand and minute hand coincide with each other, that is recognized easily by the eye.
