Abstract

PURPOSE: To sterilize flexible packing materials continuously, by feeding inner containers to empty outer containers, holding them, and sending the outer containers to a continuous sterilizing device, by the intermittent drive in one direction of endless chains having means for holding the outer containers.
CONSTITUTION: The inner containers 12 having flexible packing materials are piled, and pushed in the frame bodies 15 of the empty outer containers 13 at the part 34 for taking in the inner containers by the pressing cylinder 39. The endless chains 32 are drived intermittently. When the transferring devices 10 are reached to the part 35 for sending the transferring devices, the releasing means are operated so that the holding means 33 is opened, the transferring devices 10 are dropped on the transporting means 41, and they are sent to the continuous sterilizing device 5. After the sterilization is over, the transferring devices 10 are transported to the part 36 for taking in the transferring devices by the transporting means 42, placed on the lifting dish 43a, and the transferring devices 10 are held by the holding means 33 by the operation of the lifting cylinder 43b. When the transferring devices are reached to the part 37 for taking out the inner containers, the mechanism 46 for releasing the suppressing plate is operated, and the inner containers 12 are pushed out by the pressing cylinder 45.
