Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the titled recorder wherein an air layer is formed in a liquid reservoir that will be reciprocated integrally with a recording head such that the air layer is in contact with the surface of a liquid supplied, so that the influence of vibrations of the liquid surface is less, and the supply of the liquid to the liquid reservoir is facilitated. CONSTITUTION:An opening 127-1 of a supply pipe 105 extending from a liquid introducing means 106 to the liquid reservoir 103 is positioned in such a manner that the air layer is formed over the liquid surface shown by the broken line. The unstabilized liquid droplet discharge due to rapid change of directions of the reciprocating movement of the liquid reservoir 103 can be prevented maximumly by the formation of the air layer in the liquid reseroir 103. Further, as the liquid is discharged from the recording head 104, a negative pressure is readily created in the liquid reservoir 103, and therefore the supply of the liquid into the liquid reservoir 103 is promoted by this negative pressure.
