Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sound generator and sound receiver having a wide range and high sensitivity, by setting two sheets of diaphragm opposite to each other via a tightly closed air layer. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm 11 is set opposite to a metallic diaphragm 1 attached with a piezoelectric ceramics 2 via an air layer 10. Both diaphragms 1 and 11 are fixed to a housing 3. The diaphragm 1 is vibrated by the AC signal applied through an electric terminal 4 via the ceramics 2. The vibration of the diaphragm 1 gives the vibration to the diaphragm 11 via the tightly closed layer 10. As a result, the frequency-sensitivity characteristics has three peaks to realize a sound generator and sound receiver having a wide range and high sensitivity.
