Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an automatic resetting of a remote line concentrator to its original state when the fault of a circit is recovered, by providing a connection resetting program memory to the central controller of a master station. CONSTITUTION:In case a fault of circuit arises on an inter-office transmission line 400, a remote line concentrating interface 150 detects a step out. A central controller 100 derects the step out detected by the interface 150 and then puts the corresponding region within a temporary memory 130 in deepfreeze. As a result, the state of a subscriber 220 of a remote line concentrator that is stored in the memory 130 before the occurrence of the circuit fault is kept as it is. Whe the fault of circuit is recovered and the controller 100 detects the recovery of synchronism, the controller 100 reads successively the state of the subscriber 220 in the memory 130 based on a connection resetting program memory 120 and then transmits it to a line unit 210 of the remote line concentrator via the line 400. Thus the unit 210 resets the working state within its own unit to the original state based on the setting information sent from th controller 100.
