Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve energy utilization efficiency of a power generating device, which drives a cylinder through a cable with a vertical motion of a floating body due to waves, by forming the device in such a manner as the watermill type generator installed at sea bottom is driven by said cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A windmill type generator 3 is provided in a pressure-proof, housing structure 1 installed on the sea bottom. A water intake of the generator 3 is opened to water through a water intake pipe 5 which includes a filter device 4. A cylinder device 8 is installed on sea bottom by means of a heavy weight, and a floating body 6 is connected to a piston 11 of the cylinder device 8 throygh a cable 7. A pump room 12 in a cylinder 10 partitioned by the piston 11 is provided with a discharge port 14 and an air inlet port 15 with a check valve respectively, and the inlet port 15 is connected to an outlet of the generator 3 through a pipe 16. On the other hand, a low pressure room 13 in the cylinder 10 is connected through a pipe 25 to a low pressure tank 21, an upper part of which is opened to the air through an air pipe 20. Also, the aforementioned pipe 16 includes a medium pressure tank 19 interposed in its middle part.
