Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a copying paper excellent in adaptability to coating or printing and receptivity to an after-printing ink by a method wherein a wax-type developer containing solvents such as a high-boiling solvent, wax and an alphatic solvent at specified ratios is used as a developer for a pressure-sensitive copying paper. CONSTITUTION:A composition containging 5-30wt% of a novolak-type phenolic condensation resin or a multivalent metal salt of an aromaic carboxylic acid having a phenolic hydroxyl group, 40-50wt% of a white pigment or body color such as zinc white and titanium dioxide, 5-10wt% of a high-boiling solvent such as an aromatic solvent and a hydrogenated terphenyl based solvent which has a boiling point in the range of 300-500 deg.C, 20-25wt% of wax and 5-15wt% of an aliphatic solvent having a boiling point in the range of about 120-200 deg.C is applied as a developer to one side of a paper by an ordinary printing or coatng method. Since the thus obtained copying paper has a small wax content, after-printing on the composition layer can be conducted excellently.
