Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve an optimum sound volume of speaker against the change in surrounding noise, by providing a means which performs the sound adjustment of the speaker automatically so that the sound volume of the speaker and the surrounding noise are in a constant ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a radio broadcast system which drives a speaker and broadcasts with the sound, a means which controls the gain of an amplifier automatically and changes the sound volume of the speaker, in response to the noise output detected by a microphone installed near the speaker. For example, the surrounding noise collected with a microphone 15 installed near a speaker 14, for example, is added to an amplifier 13 via a noise detecting and storage circuit 16 as a gain control signal in response to the noise volume. On the other hand, a receiver 12 is constituted so that audio signal can be kept to almost a given level, and the ratio of the sound volume of the speaker to the surrounding noise can be kept constant by limiting the gain of the amplifier 13.
