Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a correct automatic selection of music regardless of the eccentricity or the warp of a record disk, by hoding the output level of a inter-music sensor during the stop mode of a pickup arm as the reference voltage and then giving a fine adjustment to the position of pickup arm.

CONSTITUTION: A logic control part 4 advances the count value via a signal process part 2 and every time an inter-music sensor 1 detects an area between the pieces of music. When the count value reaches a prescribed level, an arm drive part 3 is controlled to stop the movement of a pickup arm. At the same time, the level of inter-music detection output then is held at a capacitor, etc. of an inter-music servo part 5. This held value is used as the reference voltage for the subsequent fine adjustment of the pickup arm. Thus a fine adjustment is given via the drive part 3 to the drop position of pickup arm in case a record disk has some eccentricity or warp. In such a way, a correct automatic selection of music is made possible regardless of the eccentricity, warp, etc. of a record disk.
